    What is BioActive Carnitine?

BioActive Carnitine contains vegetable capsules with 250 mg of the amino acid carnitine. The content in BioActive Carnitine is strictly vegetarian and produced by means of a unique manufacturing technique based on fermentation. This method that carries the 'Carnipure' quality stamp makes it possible to produce L-carnitine exactly like it is produced by nature. The result is pure, nature-identical L-carnitine without residues of D-carnitine.

The manufacturing of BioActive Carnitine complies with the GMP protocol (Good Manufacturing Practice) and is also under strict pharmaceutical supervision. This is your guarantee of a high quality product with standardized efficacy, purity, and quality in each capsule.

    What is carnitine?

Carnitine is a non-essential, water-soluble amino acid. "Non-essential" in this context means that the body, under normal circumstances, is able to synthesize carnitine in the liver and kidneys through a conversion of the amino acid lysine.

The body's own production of carnitine is assisted by another amino acid, methionine, and by vitamin C. In addition, iron, vitamin B6, and niacin are involved in several enzymatic processes. L-carnitine is the only form of carnitine that is of value to humans.

Most of the body's carnitine supply is stored in muscle tissue, including the heart muscle. Normal seminal fluid also contains carnitine.

Our carnitine levels drop as we age.

One of carnitine's roles in the body is its contribution to the mitochondrial oxidation of long-chain fatty acids.

75% of our carnitine is obtained from the diet. The largest contributing dietary source of carnitine is dairy and red meat, with lamb, game, and beef containing the most. Carnitine is only found in limited quantities in plant protein. For that reason, vegetarians and vegans often have much lower levels of this amino acid.

    What is Carnipure?

Carnipure® is L-carnitine in an exceptionally pure form, manufactured to the highest quality standards and with full raw material traceability.  Any batch of Carnipure can be traced directly back to its origin during any stage of manufacturing, right from the unprocessed raw material to the finished extract. This is your guarantee of a high-quality product with the same standardized effect, purity, and quality in each capsule.
